Designer Do Manh Cuong’s fashion brand DMC and SIXDO is set to release its latest collection at New York Fashion Week this September 10. He left Vietnam with close celebrity friends such as Miss Universe 2018 H’Hen Nie, Miss Supranational Asia Ngoc Chau, first runner-up of Miss Universe Vietnam 2008 Vo Hoang Yen, along with models Le Thuy, Kim Dung, and Be Quyen. The event will be taking place at Spring Studios, a famous venue loved by stars’ designers such as Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, and Oscar de la Renta.
This is the first time that Do Manh Cuong participate at New York Fashion Week and to cast models, he collaborated with experts working with Prada, Louis Vuitton…The Vietnamese designer claimed that his upcoming New York Fashion Week show would set numerous “records” in his career: it would be his shortest show, featuring the fewest designs ever revealed, and be the most expensive show he has ever held.
Do Manh Cuong graduated in the top 20 of his class at the French fashion school Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne. He interned at Dior before returning to Vietnam and establishing his first brand DMC by Do Manh Cuong in 2007, then his second brand SIXDO in 2020.
