Baby oil is one of those things that not only smells great but also has a lot of uses. As a result, it’s not surprising that this product comes in a variety of shapes and sizes. Regardless of the brand of baby oil you use, there are a many things you can do with it.
A more appealing manicure
Before applying nail polish, dab a cotton pad with baby oil and rub it over your cuticles. If you spill polish on your cuticles by mistake, the oil can make them very easy to clean.
Extend the life of your shower gel
Mix a small amount of baby oil into your bottle of shower gel. After you get out of the tub, your skin will feel even softer, and your shower gel will last for longer.
Cosmetics remover
Are you having trouble removing your mascara properly? Apply a few drops of baby oil to a cotton pad and gently brush it over your eyelashes to remove any excess mascara.
Substitute shaving gel
Have you run out of shave cream? Maybe you just want to give your legs a boost of hydration. Before shaving, apply a thin layer of oil to your legs to shield them from razor bumps and leave them silky smooth.
Shine steel appliances
Your refrigerator is dirty? To remove fingerprint smudges and spots, wipe stainless steel with a soft cloth dipped in oil. (This method also works on Chrome.)
Offer yourself a pedicure at home
You’re short of time and want to give yourself a pedicure at home? Don’t worry; a few drops of baby oil applied to the top of your polish will make it dry faster and remain smudge-free.
Remove the paint from your skin
So you’ve been redecorating and your hands are caked with paint. Working with soap and water, like working with grease, will dehydrate and crack your hands by stripping them of moisture. Instead, gently remove any paint with a baby oil massaged into your palms.
