Here are the top healthy drinks that are delicious alternatives to soda! 

 

 

Lemonade

 

 

 

Kick your feet up on the front porch or by the pool and sip an ice-cold spiked lemonade! Citrus fruits, such as lemons, contain vitamin C, a primary antioxidant that helps protect cells from free radical damage and aids your body’s ability to synthesize collagen, absorb iron, and produce hormones.

 

Ingredients

2 Lemons

Some mint leaf

Soda water

1/3 cup of Sugar

Ice cubes

Direction 

Combine the sugar, water, and lemon zest in a saucepan. Cook and stir over medium heat for a few minutes, or until the sugar is dissolved. Take the pan off the heat. Mix in the lemon juice and the remaining water. Pour into a pitcher and chill until chilled. When serving add some Soda water.

 

 

Winter Melon and Longan

 

 

 

Winter combination Melon and Longan are high in antioxidants and vitamin C, which help to protect the body from free radicals and toxic pollutants. Improves cognitive function, improves vision, and aids in weight loss.

Combine the Winter melon cut into small pieces, sugar, and longans in a saucepan. Cook and stir over medium heat until the fruits and sugar have dissolved slightly. Take the pan off the heat.

Allow it to macerate for a few hours. To remove any lumps, strain the drink through a sieve. Pour into a pitcher and chill until chilled.

When using just mix winter melon juice with cold water.

 

 

Cucumber Lemonade

 

 

 

A cucumber, some lemons, mint or lemon balm leaves, and honey are all you need! Cucumber cools and hydrates your body, detoxifies it, is a natural remedy for intestinal worms, and freshens your breath!

 

Ingredients

1/2 English cucumber – diced

1/2 English cucumber – sliced

4 big lemons – squeezed

1 lemon – sliced

1/2 c raw honey 

6 c filtered water or sparkling

sprigs Mint or Basil + some for garnish

Direction

Combine the diced cucumber, honey, and juice from four lemons in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth, then combine with the lemon slices, cucumber slices, water, and mint in a pitcher. Give it a good stir and season with salt and pepper to taste. If desired, add more honey or lemon, then top with ice cubes.

Water Pennywort, also known as Gotu kola, is a staple in traditional Chinese, Indonesian, and Ayurvedic medicine. Practitioners claim that the medicinal plant can improve brain function, heal skin problems, and promote liver and kidney health.

3/4 cup uncooked long-grain white rice*

4 cups water

1 pinch salt

1/2 tsp vanilla extract or 2 tbsp cocoa or cacao powder for “chocolate milk”.

Instructions

Cook the rice according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside to cool.

Blend all of the ingredients in a blender until smooth.

Use a nut milk bag, cheesecloth, napkin, or strainer to strain the mixture.

Serve it hot or cold and add some vanilla extract, cocoa and even a cinnamon stick to make it your own!
