Whether you’re looking for a place to unwind after work, a space for the kids, the perfect spot to host an event, or a mix of it all, Jaspas Thao Dien is leading the way and setting the tone for dining in District 2.
As one of the brands of the Al Fresco’s Group (AFG Vietnam) that began in Hanoi in 1996, Jaspas has served the Hanoi community for years before opening in Ho Chi Minh City. Jaspas now has three locations between the two cities, each bringing a unique menu, mixing the best of local and imported ingredients across a thoughtfully-designed menu straight to you. “At the end of the day, we really try to create an environment where people know they’re being cared for,” said Fiona Terry of AFG Vietnam.
The second location in Ho Chi Minh City after their Dong Khoi restaurant, Jaspas-Thao Dien offers an indoor and outdoor seating area, a bar, an event area, and a special zone for children to play. Away from the bustling streets, it’s a quiet escape, perfect for unwinding after work or spending time with faces both old and new.
Jaspas is also committed to bringing sustainability to everything they do. From utilizing green space to implementing biodegradable takeaway containers, the extra thought from the top-down is carried throughout their business practice. “For us, taking that little bit of added time—from sustainability to making sure our staff have room to grow through their work—helps us to not only become part of the community but to do our part in investing in it,” added Fiona.
Part of their community-oriented nature is witnessed in their SpamCham event , held on the last Wednesday of every month. It’s a chance to socialize, catch up with friends over food and drinks, and interact with the community while raising money for disadvantaged youth through the Loreto Vietnam Charity.
