Go Wild in Sa Pa and Embrace Your Inner Adventurer

The 600-meter-high Doc Moc suspension bridge with separate wooden planks suspended above beautiful vistas in Sa Pa is not for the faint of heart. This bridge which is only 20 kilometers from Sapa town, is located in the Heaven Gate area, Glass Dragon Cloud Bridge tourist area, O Quy Ho pass, Tam Duong district, Lai Chau province and is a must-see attraction for anyone visiting Lao Cai, especially thrill-seekers.

The bridge which is 200 meters long and 2,000 meters above sea level allows visitors who chose to take the challenge of “walking” on the 171 wooden steps to cross the bridge to be rewarded with the stunning panoramic views of O Quy Ho Pass and the Hoang Lien Son mountain range, runing for 180 kilometers in the northwestern provinces of Lao Cai, Lai Chau, and Yen Bai.

Those who are focused on “survival” and getting to the other side, on the other hand, may not have the time or peace of mind to relax and enjoy the views – at least not the first time. Visitors are given protective equipment such as a helmet and a seatbelt that is attached to the cable above. Visitors can cling to “pillars” on either side of the bridge. An employee of the resort also follows the tourist to make him or her feel more secure. Normally, it takes a visitor about eight to ten minutes to cross the bridge and descend the stairs.

The cost of walking on this suspension bridge is 150,000 VND per person, which includes a drink. Visitors frequently use a moving and sightseeing service with a glass elevator to get to the game area, which costs 400,000 VND/adult and 200,000 VND/child.
