The most anticipated fashion event of the year, Aquafina Vietnam International Fashion Week, is set to return for 2020 from December 3rd to 6th at Nguyen Du Stadium, and Vietnamese brands, hungry for front-row buzz, are stepping back onto the catwalk.
The COVID-19 pandemic has upended the global fashion industry around the world and hit places like New York, Milan, Paris particularly hard, pushing them to delay or use online platforms for their events but in Vietnam, due to effective pandemic prevention and control, the Aquafina Vietnam International Fashion Week 2020 will once again create magic in HCMC, opening up right in front of the eyes of the attendees like in the old days to highlight the incredible talent coming out of Vietnam.
“The Aquafina Vietnam International Fashion Week 2020 is a golden opportunity more than ever for Vietnamese fashion. It’s the only fashion week that can be organized with its true meaning of an international fashion week. With this year’s theme, ‘The future is now’, it’s time for us to rethink, reinvent and regenerate the future of the Vietnamese fashion and also Southeast Asian fashion” said Mrs. Trang Le, President of Council of Asian Fashion Designers (CAFD) and founder and president of Aquafina Vietnam International Fashion Week. In parallel, the Council of ASEAN fashion designers has developed a new application called ‘AFAB,’ allowing designers and brands to expand the market and reach a large number of customers not only in the ASEAN region but also around the world. This year the event will also create more opportunities for international economic and cultural integration with the participation of ambassadors such as Italy, Turkey, Australia, Columbia, and Israel.
Vietnam has some of the most creative fashion labels in the world. Therefore it’s not surprising that names such as Nguyen Cong Tri and Nguyen Tien Truyen appear in the Fashion Week’s schedule. For five days, attendees can expect to see collections from Nguyen Con Tri, Elisabetta Franchi, Dang Trong Minh Chau, Nguyen Tien Truyen, Hoang Quyen, NTK, Ivan Tran, Long NG and more.
