December 6.2022
This December, Dior capped off a successful year by staging its men’s pre-fall show in front of the Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Naomi Campbell, Lewis Hamilton, Robert Pattinson, and K-pop star Cha Eun Woo were among the 800 people who attended the show, which took place after sunset with the pyramids illuminated in the background. It was the location’s first fashion runway, and Jones’s fourth traveling men’s pre-fall show, following Tokyo, Miami, and London.
Jones sent out a collection inspired by Egyptian astrology, mixed with sci-fi references, with 75 looks total — in a gradation of greys, with hints of bright yellow and orange as the house celebrates its 75th anniversary this year. The show, which featured 23 local companies and 700 employees, was followed by a concert featuring Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, recomposed by British composer Max Richter and performed by the 12 Ensemble orchestra.
