A meal at a restaurant, a drink on a rooftop bar… Why not add in a wine tasting and celebrate July 14th in style?
Lately Saigon has fallen in love with wine. French wines and champagnes ignite bars, clubs, and wine merchants across the city. Long reserved for professionals and wine lovers, wine tasting has now become a fashionable and more accessible hobby for a trendy, adventurous young Vietnamese audience—so now’s the time to mix the unmistakable energy of Saigon with the best of French wine all in one place.

ATC Wine Merchant will feature, among others, Mas Bruguiere Pic Saint, Le Temps est Venu de Loup and Stéphane Ogier, while the online-based My Wine Box will offer Jean François Merieau Souris and Boa Domaine Cosse Maisoneuve Cahors, Château Aurore Bordeaux and Pierre, Gaillard Saint Joseph and wine cellar will be showing La Pommeraie de Brown 2016, Veuve Ambal Methode Traditionnelle Blanc De Blancs, Domaine Weinbach Riesling 2018, Crocus L’Atelier 2016 Cahors.
All of this and more will be sipped in Riedel wine glasses paired with fine French cheese and cold meats offered by Classic Deli. The evening will be topped off with a contest featuring prizes by ByNature and Le Barbier de Saigon.
Alexandra Rendall, the organizer of the evening, explains: “Delicious France” is an invitation to taste a fine selection of wines and spend an enjoyable moment doing so. For me, pleasure goes hand in hand with learning. We like to share our passion for wines well-made and like to help people understand what and why they prefer one wine or another.
This next Tuesday, ‘Delicious France’ makes its long-awaited debut in Saigon to bring you an unforgettable evening, celebrated as it should be on Bastille Day. So come along and share a moment of conviviality between wine lovers and discover some excellent wines often overlooked by the public. Whether you’re a local, fresh to town, or just passing through, Bettane+Desseauve’s ‘Delicious France’ offers something for everyone.
