Azuma Makoto, the pioneer of the ‘botanical sculpture,’ has sent a Bonsai tree into space, sunk floral sculptures to the bottom of the ocean, frozen them in massive sculptures, and has produced countless experimental creations and exhibitions around the world that have shown aspects of flowers’ beauty from unprecedented perspectives.
