The next season is just around the corner and, to get in the right state of mind, AsiaHues presents a showcase full of colors, celebrating the changes in nature that give life to the new year. The exhibition, titled ‘First Blooms of Spring,’ highlights the work of three artists: Karine Guillermin, Muhamad Jabbar Dipanegara, and Le Anh Can, each of whom offer a different style to a common theme of changes in nature and color.

For Guillermin, inspiration is drawn from French expressiveness and Japanese detailing, resulting in moments where dreams and reality meet. Dipanegara, a renowned Indonesian painter, employs symbols to convey deep meaning, while Le Anh Can’s landscapes use a palette knife for an exciting mix of old and new in his paintings.

The show runs until April 11, 2021 at the airy and naturally-lit Hummingbird Cafe, located in District 1. AsiaHues is a team of gallerists, curators, and art consultants committed to increasing exposure for Asia’s brightest contemporary artists; they have organized art fairs and curated exhibitions across the region as well as worked with private collections.
