Entering in 2023, the textile and garment industry is facing many challenges due to declining orders, high interest rates and exchange rate differences. In addition, the disadvantage of exchange rates with competitors, labor shortage after the pandemic, requirements for traceability of cotton, fabric, yarn or greening of textiles from generational free trade agreements New challenges are also challenges that Vietnamese textile and garment enterprises have to face.
To assist Vietnamese textile enterprises in strengthening their competitiveness, updating market information, customers, and partners, and achieving a breakthrough on the path of sustainable and innovative fabric sourcing, Ho Chi Minh City branch of the Vietnam Federation of Trade and Industry. Ho Chi Minh City (VCCI-HCM) in collaboration with STS. Sustainable Textile Solutions and its partners organized TEXFUTURE 2023 Vietnam, an international fair of premium fabrics that took place from March 22 to March 24, 2023 at the Gem Center in Saigon.
Texfuture 2023 featured this year 80+ exhibition booths of businesses coming from Asia for direct trade promotion and exchange activities, as well as 20+ international and Vietnamese experts present at the circular economy event, exchanging about Climate change COP27; introducing fabric designs using new technology and sustainable and recycled materials to emphasize and encourage the development of “Vietnam Textile and Garment: Stronger – Smarter – Greener.”
