Street Art is generous, and this generosity must be shared and spread because it offers a way to look at the city and the country differently while permitting Street Art artists living in Vietnam to show their skills. With that in mind, the People’s Committee of HCMC, the Consulate General of France, and the French Institute propose this April in HCMC a Street Art Festival presenting all the techniques and aesthetics constituting the Street Art universe.

On this occasion, a painting competition was launched in February for Vietnamese artists over the age of 18 by the French Institute (IF) in Ho Chi Minh City. Six outstanding candidates have been chosen for the final round scheduled for April. The top three entrants will win the competition. On April 24 and 25, a dozen painters will join the event to create Street Art directly under the public testimony. This event will be an opportunity for local artists to rub shoulders with more famous stars and to make their works resonate, as well as linking artists and public, while promoting HCMC as a new Street Art center in Southeast Asia.
