Exciting news for beauty fans! British manufacturer Dyson, famous for their non-bag vacuum cleaners, has joined the healthcare sector to introduce a brand new “Supersonic” hairdryer.
We all know that the heat of normal hair dryers can easily damage our hair if used regularly. With this in mind, Sir James Dyson, the founder of the Dyson brand, “challenged Dyson engineers to really understand the science of hair and develop (our) version of a hair dryer, which (we) think solves these problems.”
After four years of development, involving 103 engineers and a whopping $71 million investment, the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer has finally been introduced onto the market and it is anticipated to redefine the concept of the hairdryer.
As the name suggests, the ‘Supersonic’ hairdryer is totally different from any other and at first glance you may not even recognise it as a hairdryer. Unlike many bulky and noisy hair dryers on the market, the Supersonic has a stylish, elegant and compact design with a smoothing nozzle. Using high-end technology, a V9 digital motor, intelligent heat control and multiplier technology, the Supersonic is tiny enough to hold comfortably in one hand, while at the same time it produces three times the amount of focused air compared to a similar-sized hairdryer from another brand.
In addition, the heat control technology ensures that your hair will never get too hot or too cold air as the thermistor measures the exit air temperature 20 times every second, dramatically minimising the damage caused to your hair.
This brand new ‘supersonic’ hairdryer comes at a price since it has been released onto the UK market a few months ago at a retail value of £299 ($400). Though it seems expensive for a hairdryer, reviews suggest that it really is ‘super’ in every way and the technology is anticipated to revolutionise the way in which we dry our hair. If you love sleek, fashionable hairstyles and are able to make the investment, you will not be disappointed with the Dyson Supersonic.
