Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir
St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City is known as the tallest religious building in the world, at least until now. In the next few years, a new building will take place in India and will become a new religious wonder – The Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir.
The Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir conducted by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, located in Uttar Pradesh features also an helipad, and an indoor theme park with some interesting activities as park rides, and stunning light shows.
The site is currently under construction and only few parts are finished as the base, 1000-seat auditorium and the Krishna Heritage Studies. The project is expected to be complete in 2022, and at this time, the title of the “World’s tallest religious building” will officially belong to Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir.
With the height of 700 feet (about 210 meters), almost double than St Peter’s Basilica with 422 feet (about 129 meters), the site is considered as the biggest dedication of Indians to Hindu deity Lord Sri Krishna. The skyscraper will be surrounded by 30 acres of forest, divided into twelve sections representing the twelve forests of Braj. Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir will be for sure not only a famous Indian temple but also a must visit sight in the next future!
