The French-Vietnamese violinist Stéphane Tran Ngoc returns this July 13 on the saïgonaise scene for a night of classical music entitled “Masterpieces for violin”. The program includes five pieces, all composed by French composer, La havanaise /Saint-Saens, Thais/Jules Massenet, Poème by E. Chausson, Le bœuf sur le toit /Darius Milhaud, and Tzigane/Ravel. This concert will be led by the musical director of the HCMC Synphony orchestra, (HSBO) Mr Tran Vuong Thach.
About Stephane Tran Ngoc
Tran Ngoc was born in Paris and graduated in violin and chamber music at the National Conservatory of Music in Paris at the age of 15. Follow a master’s degree from the Brooklyn College Conservatory of Music and a Ph.D. in Musical Arts from the Juilliard School in the United States. The violinist who lives today between France and Denmark won numerous awards at several international competitions, such as the Lipizer competition and the Long-Thibaud 1990 international competition and played as a soloist in more than 30 countries with orchestras, including the Radio-France Philharmonic, the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic, the Danish Chamber Players and the Shinsei Symphony Orchestra. His recordings include Ysaye’s six sonatas, Bach’s sonatas, and partitas, and the world premiere sonata for violin and piano by Serge Nigg, winner of the Grand Prix du disque.
