VIETNAM VISA EXEMPTION EXTENDED TO ONE MONTH INSTEAD 15 DAYS

The visa exemption to visit Vietnam is renewed at least until 2021 and will be applied for stays of thirty days and no more fifteen days recently declared the Government of Vietnam. The 30-day visa exemption will be applied from 1 July 2018. The decision concerns French, British, German, Spanish and Italian tourists. Tourists wishing to take advantage of this exemption must hold a passport valid for at least six months upon arrival in Vietnam.

Vietnam has for a long time controlled the country’s entrances and exits but since 2015, the country has facilitated international arrivals for 24 countries in order to boost its tourism, and this apparently worked as the number of travelers has increased from 720 000 in 2015 to 1.5 million in 2017.
