Toilets with TV screens and auto-flush are no longer impressive since they are so common now in Japan. However, Japanese technologists have come up with a new concept, a new super-loo in Japan that is meant to clean you not only physically but also spiritually!
When you go to the restroom you probably never expected lights to dim and shine on your ‘special areas’ while a euphonious symphony of a Hallelujah chorus plays as you finish your business. Yes, you read it right.
The restrooms at the ‘Warehouse Arcade’ in the city of Saitama, north of Tokyo, are complete with dimming lights, a heavenly aura and choruses of angels in attempt to provide you with a divine experience. According to the owner of the gaming arcade the restroom is specifically designed for male customers and includes other entertainment such as billiards, darts, karaoke, and and an internet café. The owner aims to provide his customers with a real sense of accomplishment in every sense, even in the bathroom.
What on earth is this? First time visitors to the ‘Holy Toilet’ are no doubt surprised on their first encounter. Twitter user @_an9n tweeted a clip of the toilet in it’s greatest glory and says “I just came to play darts, but the toilet was amazing lol.”
In a country famous for many unique toilet ideas including high-tech restrooms with free Wi-Fi and charging stations the ‘Holy toilet’ has even surprised the locals. The loo has been a huge hit on social media and much footage has been posted on Twitter where it had more than 15,000 likes and 20,000 retweets. It has attracted so much attention and people have travelled to Saitama just to experience the ‘Holy toilet’. Some have remarked “Let’s just hope that’s not where Holy water comes from!”
