Saigon International Guitar Festival & South East Asia Competition 2018




For several years now, countless new small festivals have been born in Vietnam. The trend is towards the development of musical niches and, of course, even if the little ones try to exist, the big festivals endure thanks to a certain professionalism and a well thought out program attracting the right target. This is the case of the International Guitar Festival of HCMC, organized since 2014 by the Conservatory of Music of HCMC which aims to contribute to the development of the art of classical guitar in Vietnam. This year’s special guests: Gerard Abiton (France), Rene Izquierdo (Cuba – US), Paul Cesarczyk (Poland – US), Leon Koudelak (Czech), Salvatore Foderà (Italy – Switzerland)Carlos Aonzo (Italy), Tomonori Arai (Japan), Kim Chung (Vietnam),Thu Le (Vietnam – Italy), Lorenzo Bernardi (Italy). The event consists in a competition, and come also with masterclasses, workshops etc …
