For the 30th anniversary of the Louvre Pyramid, Airbnb and the museum unveiled last April a program to (re) discover the museum that has always made the whole world dream. For one night only the winners of a contest were offered a guided tour last month when the museum closed its doors, then an aperitif comfortably installed at the foot of Mona Lisa, a dinner in an ephemeral dining room with the Venus de Milo, a concert in the salons of Napoleon III and a magical night under the pyramid.
“We are pleased to be able to offer this unique experience to the winner and his / her guest who will have the pleasure of living a unique night at the museum, in a setting specially designed for them. It is the dream of many to be able to walk alone, the night at the Louvre, a magical and unforgettable moment. With the support of Airbnb, we want to show our collections to people who do not spontaneously go to museums, with always this desire to make art accessible to all.”
Anne-Laure Béatrix, Deputy General Administrator of the Louvre Museum

At the moment we know that the Richelieu café inside the Louvre will host a series of intimate concerts, and from September an exclusive series of visits will be proposed to the public. Other events should follow on the platform Airbnb / Louvre and if you do not have the chance to enjoy these exclusives, you can always get some comfort with the video clib of Jay-Z and Beyonce at the Louvre …
