The body smell concerns many persons around the world, especially if you live in a tropical climate. However, if you are Korean, then you do not have to worry too much about your sweaty armpits. According to recent researchs, it turns out that Koreans have genes allowing them to have less sweating problem than others.
That’s sounds excellent, right?
Researchers at the University of Bristol reported that only 0.006 % of the Korean population has the ABCC11 gene, which is responsible for the odor problem. Additionally, this ratio is also the world’s lowest number. This result is concluded from a gene database designed by Yale University, which is known as the Allel Frequency Database (ALFRED). The research also indicated that most European have it when most of East Asians and almost all Koreans don’t. So if you are Korean or Asian and don’t sweat very much, save yourself from wasting time and money on chemical antiperspirants!
