Nestled in Saigon this coffee shop is an ordinary home with unordinary inhabitants. Upon entering, you’ll be greeted by a party of lizards, snakes, or south American dragon. You can indulge yourself with some coffee while a languid python hangs from your neck. As you sit at your table and share a coffee with a friend, you can gaze upon these slow-moving reptiles, and if you’re feeling a little brave, you could even touch or play with them. Watch them from afar, look at them up close, pet them, hold them whatever floats your boat. Be assured, that the reptiles at the café are harmless, and that the owner take good care of them, feed them and bathe them properly.
Tran Thi Ngoc Minh, the owner of this café, is a reptile lover. He opened this place because he wanted to give people a better understanding of the reptiles, to dispel the notion that they are bad and to transmit the love of reptiles to others. The coffee shop on Hoa Phuong Road, in Ho Chi Minh City’s Phu Nhuan District, is open from 8 to 23h every day, with very reasonable prices from Vnd 15,000 to Vnd 28,000/glass.
