Greenlines announced that they are back with 5 new boats in accordance with European standards. Vietnamese authorities suspended the hydrofoil service between HCMC and Vung Tau last January after a hydrofoil caught fire 15 minutes after leaving the town.

In a very next future, guests will have the chance to travel on a state-of-the-art hydrofoil with comfortable facilities, which costs 1 million dollars for each boat. Its maximum speed is about 60km/h and it will take 1-1,5 hour to reach Vung Tau depending on the weather condition. On top of that, the hydrofoil is designed with two bodies and two engines to increase its safety. That prevents the vehicle from swaying due to big sea waves while still be able to maintain high speed. So, do not let the seasick put you off from this exciting trip! Despite being an expensive boat, the ticket price is very affordable. It will only cost you 250,000 VND ($11) to have a comfortable seat on this premium hydrofoil. However, there are only 60 seats per boat, so you should book in advance.
