The Chinese company Lenovo, well known in Asia, plans to launch a new « Augmented reality phone ». The 23th February 2016, during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Yang Yuanqing Executive Chef of Lenovo announced the launch of a new Smartphone based on the google’s Project Tango Technology. With this device, the China’s Lenovo group tries to aim a mature market and boost the overseas sales. The phone will have a 3D motion tracking and depth sensors to give a mobile device the ability to know where he is and how he moves through an area, creating the potential to use Augmented reality features on the phone. Augmented reality software then overlays texts or graphics on the real-life image. It differs from virtual reality, which seeks to simulate real-world views. This new device should be launched in July 2016.
