Warmer and more humid than previous months, April stayed until now in Ho Chi Minh City a pleasant month welcoming tourists. But according to the Southern Hydrometeorological Center extreme hot temperature and strong thunderstorms are expected this month coming. The city will become boiling and terribly wet, on and off, through the month with a temperature reaching 39 degrees Celsius, or 102.2 degrees Fahrenheit which are quite unusual.
April is usually the transition period between the dry and the rainy season, which means that the first weeks are always hotter and wetter, but this year unseasonal downpours will make the transition time tough. Downpours regularly flood many parts of the town every year as there is most of the time no drain under the alleys since ages. This year HCMC is planning to spend VND 2 trillion ($87.9 Million) to resolve the problem. In the meantime, be patient, take the best and forget the rest!
