Than Son Nhat, Ho Chi Minh airport has just been named by flight passengers as one of the best 25 airports in the world to take a nap. The airport got the 21st place in the “Top 25 Most Sleep-Friendly Airports” compiled by The Guide to Sleeping in Airports site, which collects votes from passengers around the world to make lists of world’s best and worst airports each year.
Tan Son Nhat airport, the biggest airport in Vietnam, expanded last year his waiting area in the International terminal and opened it’s first 100 square meter sleeping zone equipped with comfortable chairs and 20 sleeping lounges free of charge. Ten mini sleeping pods are also available for more privacy at the price of $7 an hour. These four square meter pods can welcome an adult + a child under seven years old and comes with drinking water and towel. Close to the sleeping zone, a playing area of 40 square meters is available for kids.
Tan Son Nhat also obtained the 19th spot for the most secure airport in the 25 Best airports. This year’s the two first winners of the”Best Airports for Overall Experience” list was Singapore Changi International Airport and the Seoul Incheon International Airport in South Korea.
