The piece takes the form of a lyrical suite and was premiered on 1 April 1940 on the radio, in the middle of World War II when Germany had already invaded Poland and was about to invade Norway and Denmark shortly after. This  suite composed by Lars-Erik Larsson with lyrics by Hjalmar Gullberg was send as a message of humanity and hope. This piece is still the more loved classic Sweedish music.
