District Eight Design created in 2010 preserved old historically buildings, warehouses, and objects in Saigon and rapidly bloomed into something much more. They expanded to include a production line of vintage industrial furnishings. One of their first projects was the renovation and fit-out of l’Usine a fashion boutique, gallery and restaurant in HCMC.
Vietnam has a long history of skilled craftsmen. Today Eight’s team is composed entirely of Vietnamese designers and local experts in metalwork and woodwork.
The combination of raw materials and natural patinas provides a unique touch of elegance to their furniture. Each piece tells a story and shows the signs of history, meticulously crafted, with a mix of old world and modern technology, District Eight’s furniture did not lose his original character and evoke us the nostalgic feeling of time that once was. www.districteightdesign.com
