Craft Arts Festival Takes Over Hue

A festival of craft arts will begin in Hue this week until May 2nd. The 8th annual Hue Traditional Arts Festival themed “The Quintessence of Vietnamese Crafts” will feature exhibitions celebrating the age-old artistic traditions of Vietnam’s Imperial City, Hue.

Visitors can see artisans’ unique works, from bronze casting to ancient clothing styles to folk paintings, dance and crafts. This year’s festival lines up with the 230th anniversary of Nguyen Hue’s victory against Chinese Qing Dynasty and it will include a grand series of events. In celebration of Hue and the arts festival, there will be an opening ceremony celebrating the city’s culture, a hot air balloon showcase, live music, displays from artists around Vietnam, and much more.
