The restaurant of the Hotel Reverie is one of the most known luxury Italian restaurants in the city. The Italian chef Tonino Giglio is passionate and as any culinary expert, he makes you discover the Italian gastronomy through fresh and tasty products and a menu that comes in regional dishes from north to south – from the osso buco of Wagyu to fresh homemade pasta made with imported Italian flour. Prices are quite high as the restaurant is in a 5-star hotel with well-trained staff. The modern dining room has a contemporary atmosphere, with Italian mosaic walls, elaborate candelabra and a collection of different style chairs, a creative nod to the 40 distinctive corners of Italy. Here no short or flip-flop. It is advisable to book in advance.

Hidden in the middle of a small garden in Ho Chi Minh City’s Dist 2, Pasta Fresca is a small temple dedicated to pasta. The concept is simple: you choose your pasta and a style of sauce, then the Chef cook them for you. For instance, you can choose homemade Gnoccis and a Basil and whole nuts Pesto sauce for 170,000 Vnd (7.5 USD). As an accompaniment, the restaurant offers appetizing small bites and various salads. A musical background of Italian old school songs finishes perfecting the atmosphere.

To eat pizzas as good as in Naples is now possible in Saigon. La Bettola located in the heart of District 2 of Ho Chi Minh City offers popular Italian cuisine in a warm decor with terrace and pool. We recommend the pizza Tartufata with some mozzarella, cream, truffle ham and the Spagettis à la Vongole. The pizzas are cooked in a real wood oven to not distort the taste of the dough. Lasagna, gnocchis, raviolis, and of course the pasta are homemade. Everything is excellent!

This institution in Saigon is located in the heart of the city. The place is not too mentioned in the fashionable guides (and it’s fine ! ) but is known from the Italians. The food is more traditional than complex but at Ciao Bella you are always greeted with a smile. The menu, you have to take a look at it. There is some traditional italian food of course and dishes that change according to the desires of the chef and the offer of the local market. The hesitation was long between the Penne Ciao Bella (chicken mushroom cream, vodka), and ravioli ala Pomodori Secchi (ravioli with tomatoes, goat cheese). It is said that the Chef also serves excellent pizzas. Will have to go back …

Finally the Wine Bar-Pizza land in Saigon! Italian cuisine and Italian wines: a real gem. The restaurant is inspired by the laid-back concept of the italian pizzeria and wine bar and offers classic and delicious Italian cuisine and fine wines in an elegant environment. Some Lobster Catalan as we have rarely eaten: Fresh lobster with red onions, cherry tomatoes, basil, extra virgin olive oil, and vinegar. A faultless dessert: a tiramisu gourmet, creamy and served with a shot of cold coffee Lavazza & Sambuca. The Chef tries to favor local organic vegetables and fruits and a selection of original Italian products reflecting the quality. A large selection of Italian wines served by the glass allows the clientele an exciting oenologyc trip throughout Italy.

The Opera is one of the most well known Italian restaurants in the city. Nestled in Hotel Park Hyatt, the place offers breathtaking views of the Saigon Opera House. This contemporary trattoria is open onto the street with a pleasant terrace and tables smelling good olive oil and fresh fish. The gastronomy offered there is largely influenced by the north of Italy, but the Chef also proposes recipes for pasta from central Italy and Neapolitan pizza made from a wood oven. Inside, people mix and discuss, naturally around tables. Would it be a practice of the particular Arte Di arrangiarsi, typical of the city of southern Italy? The prices are rather high, but with a gastronomy, a quality service, and a breathtaking view, the restaurant offers its guests a unique place to escape with style from the bustle of the city center. Booking is recommended.
