Haiku, the tropical depression coming from the Philippines, meant to become Typhoon Category 1 in the next two days is about to hit the Vietnamese territory today or tomorrow. This morning, it was at 930 km (577 miles) south of the Paracel Islands with a speed of 75 km / h. It could in the next hours either move north and become weaker or move directly to the central region stronger. It would be catastrophic as the center of Vietnam is still under the shock of the typhoon Damrey passing just five days ago causing a rise of water of 1.50 m, killing 106 people and letting the city’ water tanks already ready to overflow. The central region has been ordered to monitor the reservoirs and to get prepared for the worst-case scenario. If Haikui strikes the center of Vietnam while the tanks are full, the region will face extreme severe floods. Vietnam is again in a complicated situation while the country hosts from November 6 to 11 in Danang the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) with Mr. Presidents Trump, Putin and Xi Jinping.
