A NEW LGBT FRIENDLY HEALTH CARE SERVICE LAUNCH IN HCMC

Today Vietnam is going toward a more gender inclusive society and slowly make progress in term of gender rights, but still less than half of the 258,586 Vietnamese diagnosed with HIV received an antiretroviral treatment.

To remedy that, the new health center launch with the partnership of  G-Link Vietnam an STIs testing service, HIV treatments, and also welcome transgender people. Indeed to have his hormone intakes monitored by the doctors minimize adverse side effects as Transgender people can overdose their hormones or not use them the proper way.

Vietnam’s Civic Law recognized the right of citizens to change their sex from 2017, but the process is still not ended waiting for a new law to be introduced. Lawmakers and concerning governmental bodies are currently drafting the law, which may be available in 2019.
